Meet the Team at Warrington Service Centre
All of our engineers are trained to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 and we’re IMI recognised, which acknowledges that Warrington Service Centre employs only skilled, competent and trustworthy automotive professionals and ensures that we continually update their professional knowledge, skills and working practices. Meet some of the team:
Raf Khan – Owner
Raf has always been what he describes as a ‘petrol head’! Even at school he managed to get himself some work experience in the service department of a local dealership.
Once he entered the world of work, his foot went on the accelerator and he was off. On a journey that took him through his apprenticeship with a Land Rover dealer, onto work with Ford and a couple of tyre companies, he progressed on to Kwik Fit, eventually being promoted to Area Manager. His career continued with companies such as ATS and Just Tyres, where he was first Area Manager, then Divisional Manager.
Throughout these years of experience building, the Raf his present customers have come to like and respect was developing, and some of the things he cares most about combined to make him think about starting his own business. So Warrington Service Centre was launched, back in 1999, growing steadily to its present size and site.
The reasons behind that launch are still close to his heart today. Raf hates poor standards – he cares about his whole team doing a good job. And throughout his time with other companies, he found himself infuriated by a culture of ‘doing just enough to get by’. That’s not Raf – he’s passionate about anything with a motor and wheels, and getting by is not what they do. He believes we trust our lives to our vehicles every day, and he knows that the mechanic servicing a car is therefore being trusted with someone’s life – and their family’s. Being honest about the work is really important to him; he won’t let a job be talked up in price, which is why the company motto is “Honestly, miles ahead of the competition”.
Away from work Raf is very much a family man, spending as much time as possible with wife Karen and son Ellis. Of course, he takes his work home with him, so there’s usually a decent car or motorbike on the drive, and the occasional trip to the TT on the Isle of Man!
Damian Clancy – General Manager
Damian Clancy is responsible for managing the team of mechanical engineers and keeping them motivated to meet Warrington Service Centre’s exacting levels of customer service and quality workmanship. Like most of the team at Warrington Service Centre he eats, sleeps and breathes cars and bikes!
With a strong background managing large teams, Damian believes in keeping things smart and ship-shape, and thrives on achieving high levels of customer service.
Sheila Bray – Company Administrator
Sheila Bray has been the welcoming face in Warrington Service Centre’s reception for nearly 11 years. With extensive experience of handling the company administration, she is responsible for greeting and helping customers as they book in their cars, bikes and vans.
Customers can rely on Sheila to go that extra mile. She’ll make sure you get to speak to the right person about your vehicle and is always ready with refreshments while you wait for your car!
We’ve Got the Credentials!
At Warrington Service Centre we pride ourselves on offering quality car servicing, Car and Motorbike MOTs and van, motorbike and car repairs and work hard to provide a first-class level of service and expertise.
The comments from our happy customers are our greatest credentials but we also have several industry accreditations which are much more than certificates on the wall.
